Montemayor vs Massiatte

Red-Carpet Brawl 2 Recap: Edwin “Pete” Monteor vs. Jason “Corazón Valiente” Masi

Two powerful stories, one unforgettable fight.

Edwin “Pete” Monteor, fleet manager and father of four, fought for Vibrant Works, an organization supporting the blind—a cause close to his heart. Having experienced blindness himself, Edwin brought deep emotion and purpose into the ring. He dedicated the fight to those living with visual impairment and to his late father, who always dreamed of seeing him box. “I’ll take a punch over needles in my eyes any day,” Edwin shared. “This fight is for hope and faith.”

Facing him was Jason “Corazón Valiente” Masi, President and CEO of Mahila’s Heart Children’s Cancer Foundation. Fighting for children and families battling cancer in the local community, Jason used this journey to raise awareness and lead by example. “I’ve got skin in the game,” he said, highlighting his personal commitment to the cause. Over 11 weeks, he lost 24 pounds, gained endurance, and found emotional strength through training with the Leha team.

After three intense rounds, Jason Masi won by stoppage in the final seconds of round three. In his victory speech, he dedicated the win to the children his organization supports, including little Stella, who was in the crowd. “This was for her. For all of them.”

The match was a heartfelt collision of strength, struggle, and selfless purpose.
